We are honored to call the Lions Club of Downtown Kentucky a partner of World Sight; without their assistance, we would not have been able to achieve our success in our multiple project sites internationally. We look forward to continuing this partnership with the Lions Club.
The work done by the Lions Club is very much aligned with World Sight's goal of being a global leader in community and humanitarian service. Upon the arrival of the World Sight team, the Lions Club International connects the incoming team with local physicians; thus, when the World Sight team returns to its native country, the Lions Club has ensured a sustainable surgical center, primarily run by physicians (local to the developing country), volunteers and Lions Club members. This type of partnership between the Lions Club and World Sight is saving vision, internationally and on a daily basis.
